There are reports of incidents where messages sent on social media disguised as vote requests from friends have led to LINE accounts being stolen. In particular, there are many confirmed cases where users receive direct messages asking them to vote for someone as a candidate or for a relative's child's work in a contest, which then lead them from a fake voting page to a fake LINE login screen.

Any attempts to ask for your verification code or to make you enter it on a screen, together with your LINE registered information (e.g. phone number, email address, or password), are all scams. Your LINE verification code will not be used for any purpose other than transferring your LINE account yourself or changing your email address or phone number. If you receive a suspicious message, do not reply to it or access any links in it.
There have also been reports of cases where third parties try to trick users by instructing them to uninstall and then reinstall LINE or tap the delete button. If you see the message "You've been logged out of your account" and tap the delete button on the Re-login screen, all of your LINE data saved on that device will be deleted. Make sure to tap Re-login instead.

If you tapped the delete button by mistake, refer to the following Help content.
