Once a message is unsent or deleted, it cannot be restored. Please be aware that, depending on certain devices or recipient-side conditions, unsent messages may remain visible.
Unsending a message is a feature that lets you remove a message from both your and the recipient's chat. In contrast, removing a message with the Delete feature only removes the message from your chat and not the recipient's chat.

The differences between unsending and deleting a message are as follows.

You can unsend OpenChat messages within 24 hours of sending them, regardless of whether you're a LYP Premium/LINE Premium member or not.
warning icon  Important points about the Premium Unsend feature
- This feature can be used with the latest version of LINE. (Update LINE to the latest version.)
- If the recipient is using a version of LINE that doesn't support this feature, or if they've already read the message, you will not be able to use the Unsend discreetly feature. Also, if you're using LINE on multiple devices, the recipient may still be notified that a message was unsent, depending on the LINE version on the device you used to unsend the message.
- Even if you unsend a message, the recipient may have already seen part of it in an OS push notification or message preview before it was unsent.
- This feature cannot be used in any existing multi-person chats, official account chats, OpenChats, or chats that use the bot feature (e.g. translator bot that joins a chat).
Note: Chats that use the bot feature are available only in Japan.
- If you cancel your LYP Premium or LINE Premium membership, you will lose access to this feature.
See the following sections for the steps to unsend or delete messages.

Unsending messages Tap and hold or right-click the message you sent that you want to unsend > Unsend.
Note:
- The message will be deleted from both your and the recipient's chat, and a notice saying you unsent a message will appear in the chat.
- LYP Premium/LINE Premium members can select Unsend discreetly to remove messages that haven't been read without notifying recipients.
